Beginning a Journey

I'm absolutely thrilled to have been accepted into the Texas Folklife Apprentice Program, where I'll be learning Carnatic music kritis under the guidance of my guru, Thanmayee Krishnamurthy.

Over the next six months, I’ll be immersing myself in nine exquisite kritis, composed by the legendary trinity of Carnatic music—Muthuswami Dikshitar, Tyagaraja Swamy, and Shyama Shastri. This journey promises to be a deep exploration of melody, devotion, and tradition, and I can't wait to share my experiences along the way!
